The book that’s been on your shelves the longest: One of the first great books that I bought and added to my bookshelf is The Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart. I was shopping for a birthday present for my friend, and ended up buying myself a book too. This book is also the reason that i'm so reluctant to lend out books. SOOO many people have borrowed this book from me, it's in pretty bad condition. I'm tempted to just go out and buy a new copy.

A book that reminds you of something specific in your life: I remember this one time when my friend was over. She was sitting at the computer checking her e-mail and stuff. I was on the couch read Just Listen By Sarah Dessen. This book really sticks out in my mind because of the look on my friends face when i started rambling about how Dexter and Remy were in this book, and I read their story in This Lullaby. I went to the bathroom and continue to shout random bursts of excitement at her. I think this is when she realized that I really WAS crazy about reading.

A book you acquired in some interesting way: The best book I could choose for this category would be In Your Room by Jordanna Fraiberg. I won this book over the summer from Book Chic. This was before I even started blogging...*sigh* Anyway I was soooo excited that it was possible to acquire a book without begging my mom. I ran around the house screaming and going on about winning a book that I was really excited for. I probably disturbed the neighbors. This was also the highlight of my summer.

The most recent addition to your shelves: See, by saying this you might think most recently received. But actually it was the most recently read. I don't add books to my bookshelf until I read them. And the latest book for me to finish and add to my bookshelf would be Undone by Brooke Taylor. I actually got into the swing of reading this way too late at night and finally finished at 4 in the morning. This has been happening a lot to me. "Oh I'll just read a chapter or two before going to bed." Turns into "Umm let's just finish it." And when i was done I ceremoniously added it to my shelf.

A book that’s been with you to the most places: I don't really take my books anywhere besides my house and school, but one book sticks out in my mind as a traveler. This book would be Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. I've read it at home, school, and most memorably at Taylor's dads house. We were preparing for the trivia at the Breaking Dawn part at Borders, and decided that we needed to brush up on our skills. I was assigned to bring Eclipse. This studying though didn't help me much. They asked the least expected questions. *coughcheaterscough*

A bonus book that you want to talk about but doesn’t fit into the other questions: I don't have a specific book that I want to talk about, but I do want to say that there is a flaw in my bookshelf. I only own parts of some series. Like I don't own Twilight or New Moon. I don't own this first two books in The Pretty Little Liars series, and I don't own The Boy Book, from the Ruby Oliver Series. This happens to me a lot, thanks to the library and friends. I really want to own the other books but I can't spare the cash.

This was one of the best books i've read this year. It was very original and well fantastic! The quote kind of shows how Jenna really doesn't know the real meaning of some words.

She attempts reorientation by watching videos of her childhood, "recorded beyond reason" by worshipful parents, but mysteries proliferate. I've needed another alien fix after reading The Tommyknockers, and I got exactly what I needed right here. I really liked that everyone new that aliens existed and that they were mostly accepted into schools and the workplace. But of course just as there are bad and dangerous humans there are also aliens like that. There comes in this agency to keep the bad aliens away. The training Phoenix and the others have to go through is breathtaking and intriguing. At first I found the training harsh and the teachers cruel, but when unexpected danger arises I understand the need. Phoenix was a very relatable character. Tough and brave, but also calm and understanding. The plot was very different and kept me turning the pages. I can not wait to read the book that follows!

I expected a lot while reading Evermore because everyone was REALLY excited. And I will admit that I was a little disapointed. I got tired of Ever blaming herself for her family's death. It's obvious that it wasn't but she still wallows in self pity. Oh and why was she always against Ava. She was just trying to help her. But god forbid someone is nice to Ever. Beside those minor flaws Evermore was fantastic. Oh and if this book ever said anyone was a vampire I was gonna punch them in their fictional face. I was expecting something different, thankfully this wasn't needed. The whole idea that Ever had these great mind reading powers that annoyed her was interesting. I would have loved those powers but Ever was different. But of course Damen is the only person that could penetrate her tough exterior. Thanks Damen for making Ever fall head over heels. Am I the only one that gets annoyed at books with boys that are all a girl thinks about? I got over that though and the ending was very well crafted and I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

At first, Lyle House seems a pretty okay place, except for Chloe’s small problem of fearing she might be facing a lifetime of mental illness. But as she gradually gets to know the other kids at the home–charming Simon and his ominous, unsmiling brother Derek, obnoxious Tori, and Rae, who has a “thing” for fire–Chloe begins to realize that there is something that binds them all together, and it isn’t your usual “problem kid” behaviour. And together they discover that Lyle House is not your usual group home either…

Let me just say that I love Derek even though he's pimply. Derek is smart, caring and sweet (sometimes) and just plain awesome. The mystery that is presented in The Summoning is really cool. I can't figure it out and everything is unexpected. Even the characters have very distinct and well crafted personalities. Don't you just love people in a mental home? Great, great times. I absolutely loves when Tori freaks out on Chloe! Being bored wasn't even an option while reading The Summoning. How could you be when something is always popping up. Be it a ghost or a crazy "nurse". I seriously can NOT wait untill I can read The Awakening, which is the next book. My friend told me The Summoning was good, but not this good! Overall I think that The Summoning is a very interesting and alluring read for everyone. So go out and get yourself a copy!

Most of the time Impulse was more serious. That is why I chose this more light-hearted silly side that is overshadowed by the serious.

Before I started I expected a book that was really annoying. That all the girls hated each other and were always starting fights. Luckily I was wrong. They had PERSONALITY! Who would have thought? Not me. Another awesome thing would be that you got to hear some male perspective. And thank gosh he was realistic. Yeah he might have changed and got sexy, but that doesn't mean all the girls are going to crawl all over him. He still has that inner dork that I want him to cling to. Now the plot. I have to admit that it's not very original, and it doesn't hold my attetion all the time. Still it's fun to read about the glamorous, or not so glamorous life. At least we have some mean girls in the story. I might sound mean but every story needs an antagonist. Myla isn't even that bad. Oh Oh we can't forgot Jo-Jo!! Lucky her, or wait she isn't as smooth as she thought now was she? Overall I think that The A-List: Hollywood wasn't relatable, but kept my attention and made me jealous. Brava Zoey Dean!

Maggie Leigh just wants to be a normal teenager, but when German bombs tear apart London during World War II, her ultra-religious mother sees the destruction as divine punishment. She sends Maggie to a remote boarding school in coastal Wales, supposedly to keep her safe, but also to keep her in line. The school is creepy, the headmistress is a lunatic, and the students range from spoiled rich girls to speechless trauma victims. But when a tragic accident happens on the beach, Maggie and three friends are forced to flee the school, plunging into the nightmarish world of Europe during wartime. Now every decision Maggie makes is fraught with danger, and living to see another day depends on how quickly she can think and act...and how far she's willing to go.

I didn't have very high expectations while reading Shelter Me because I don't have a very high interest in books taken place in past time periods. But after Maggie saw she was being tricked I couldn't help but feel her emotions of betrayal and anger. The beginning started out a little slow for me and was a hard to get into, but it eventually picked up pace and I finished it in one sitting. Maggie is now one of my favorite female characters. She wasn't fake sounding or mean. As a character she was very believable. I hated Maggie's mom because of how she treated Maggie and because she was forcefully religious. I thought I was going to read about the hard times in the war, but I ended up reading so much more. Overall I think that Shelter me was a well crafted story with trickery. I'd reccommend Shelter Me to anyone who likes a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Writer Bobbi Anderson becomes obsessed with digging up something she's found buried in the woods near her home. With the help of her friend, Jim Gardener, she uncovers an alien spaceship. Though exposure to the Tommyknockers who piloted the alien craft has detrimental effects on residents' health, the people of Haven develop a talent for creating innovative devices under its increasingly malignant influence.

Even though this book took me a VERY long time to read does not mean it wasn't good. I think Stephen King books are supposed to be "scary" this one for me however was not. It happened to be strange, creative, and interesting though. I couldn't really relate to any of the characters because for one they were all adults, and were pretty much the opposite of what a teen would be like. There were some younger people but they were really young. Though I couldn't relate to the characters I thought the plot was very interesting. I never really knew what was going to happen next but I had an inkling. Overall I thought The Tommyknockers was a time consuming read but good for anyone that has the patience for an unbelievable story.

Fly on the Wall was hilarious and I think this quote shows that. The characters in the book have a lot of their own lingo. Like biscuits for breasts, gherkins for...male parts, and milkshake for booty. It really is comical and interesting.

As you can see I've been working on reading The Tommyknockers for a while now. That is why no new reviews are up. This book is taking over my life! IT IS SOOOO LONG! And the writing is super small...I know, no excuses. I should be reading more, watching T.V. less. But before you call me a lazy reader, have any of you guys tried to tackle a Stephen King novel? Cause I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.
