In My Mailbox is a post where I tell you the books that I received this week
either by buying them from the bookstore, going to the library or from my
mailbox. In My Mailbox was inspired by Alea and turned into a meme by Kristi.
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
St. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding
school–it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of
magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a
Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire
Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to
St. Vladimir's–the very place where they're most in danger. Rose and
Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless
social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be
careful lest the Strigoi–the world's fiercest and most dangerous
vampires–make Lissa one of them forever.

Hi, Amanda!
I hope you'll enjoy Vampire Academy! It has a huge fan base and I definitely appreciate the characters. If you like it, great, but if you don't, I think you should give it a chance. It definitely gets better as the characters and Mead's writing style grow and improve. (:
Have a good week!
Hugh Richelle Mead fan here! (I'd probably go crazy fangirl if I ever met her! :p) I really hope you enjoy Vampire Academy!
