Monster Pick Your Thon

I can rarely resist readathons and reviewthons. They never fail to get me motivated. I also love how The Book Monsters squish these two together so we can make the best of our time for each individual. If you want to sign up, do so HERE. This will be going on until the 15th.

I'm going to update and post all of my challenges on this post right here. I'll link it in my sidebar so I don't lose it.

Day 1: Organization, Organization, Organization.
Basically, what do I plan on accomplishing?

Reading
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad
Yesterday by C.K. Kelly Martin

Reviewing/Scheduling Posts
This is pretty big. I want to schedule my posts for almost the rest of the month. I currently have 11/16 done.

Maintenance
I want to post all of the reviews that I have posted up until the end of March on Goodreads and Amazon. I currently have 8/22 done.

That's all I want to do! Not much reading, but tons of other stuff. I'll update this post with the next mini challenge!

Mini Challenge 1:  Review Drafts

I already do something similar to what Book Dragon's Lair does. After I finish a book, I set up that post. I write out some initial bullet points and get all of the book information that I post on the blog (publisher, amazon link, blahblahblah). I usually like to have a week's worth of posts scheduled in advance. So once I start to get low, I go to the oldest of the drafts and write up the review. Most of the time I do this before things get scary. Being ahead of the game makes blogging more fun because you don't HAVE to do any blogging from one day to the next. You can schedule things in advance.

Mini Challenge 2: Cast A Character!
Currently I am reading 172 Hours on the Moon. The book has three main characters, but I just want to cast Mia. She has very dark hair and light skin. She is described as looking like the typical goth girl. She loves music and has a very spicy attitude. She's not afraid to tell it like it is. She also has a sensitive side though along with her roughness. I usually don't think of actors playing characters, just made up people, but now that I am thinking about it, I can really see Mary Elizabeth Winstead playing Mia! She's different, fun, and can play a girl with a passion for music and for misbehaving. She did a fabulous job in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and I think she would do good here too.
