Top Ten Tuesday: Deceiving Books

Top Ten Tuesdays is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's top ten is...

Top Ten Books That Were Totally Deceiving (those covers or titles that don't fit the books, a book that was totally different than its summary, or those books you thought were going to be fluff that turned out to be more serious etc etc.)

1. All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin. I totally thought this book was supposed to be about a girl choosing between good and back in a future dystopian society. Probably helping to run her family's illegal chocolate business. I was only half right. She wasn't bad at all!  So much emphasis was put in the summary on Anya being torn between the illegal lifestyle her family lives, and the safe route, but this barely came up at all until the end. During the entire book Anya was actually dead set against that lifestyle.

2. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan. This book turned out to be a whole lot more serious than I thought it would be! I was expecting mostly comedy, but that wasn't what I got.

3. Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. I actually thought that the entire book would be about them completing dares that the other gave them, when in fact there weren't many dares at all.

Those are the only three that I can think of right now...haha. But I know this kind of thing happens to me a lot!

Darn, I thought Dash & Lily was going to be full of dares too. It's on my TBR list.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson almost made my list too. And I thought the same thing about Dash & Lily, not enough Dares!
