California high school student Audrey Cuttler dumps self-involved Evan, the lead singer of a little band called The Do-Gooders. Evan writes, "Audrey, Wait!," a break-up song that's so good it rockets up the billboard charts. And Audrey is suddenly famous! Now rabid fans are invading her school. People is running articles about her arm-warmers. The lead singer of the Lolitas wants her as his muse. (And the Internet is documenting her every move!) Audrey can't hang out with her best friend or get with her new crush without being mobbed by fans and paparazzi. Take a wild ride with Audrey as she makes headlines, has outrageous amounts of fun, confronts her ex on MTV, and gets the chance to show the world who she really is.
Holy frickerson. I can barely get out the words...Awesome, amazing, fantastic, hilarious..wow..Audrey was one of the funniest characters ever, she could be sad or having troubles and the next thing you know she cracking a joke or being sarcatic. She had the best sense of humor which went great with the storyline. I've never read something so original that WASN'T fantasy. It was obvious that this wouldn't likely happen but it wasn't impossible. I will admit that Audrey, Wait! was mostly fluff, but grade A fluff at that. I never got bored or strayed from reading. It felt like I had an adiction. I'd start readng in class instead of taking notes, I just couldn't stop. The rest of the characters were also awesome. You kind of wanted to be mad at Evan for making Audrey have to go through all the trouble to even attempt a new relationship. Sometimes it was hard to decipher that new relationship though. You never really know why it happened. Another problem was that the time frame was wacky. You could be reading one part and next thing you know weeks have passed. Still I loved Audrey and all she stood for. Overall I think Audrey, Wait! is a novel everyone should read sometime. It's the kind of book you'll read again and again just for the laughs.

I read this book a few months ago and LOVED it! I couldn't stop laughing. That mixed with the fact that I read "She's So Money" during the same weeks made it a very exciting time in my life - bookwise haha
Everyone has been raving about this book! I can't wait to read it.
