Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

AMAZING! I am absolutely fangirling right about now. I finished reading the book at school after staying up late at night. I just couldn't bring myself to put it down. Thank god the teachers seemed to understand.

The love triangle between Katniss, Gale, and Peeta is still going strong, I can't even decide who I want her with more. All of the characters continue to grow excellently and we even get some characters slightly mentioned in the first book more explained.

I don't want to say too much so I don't ruin ALL of the huge plot twists and turns. My mouth was gaped open during the majority of my reading. So many unexpected things happen you wouldn't believe me if I told you. I was literally crying, and running around the house trying to explain it to my brother who was sleeping....since I couldn't call my friend because she didn't read it yet.

Overall I would say that Catching Fire is a must read. If you haven't read The Hunger Games yet you really need to. And if you did then pick up yourself a copy of Catching Fire NOW. No matter how great you thought The Hunger Games was, Catching Fire is even better.

Aha I 'm the same way about catching fire, I still have to finish but at the end of the hunger games when it said end of book one I was freaking. I was so happy when I heard there was going to be a sequel. Ultimately better than any book I 've read and whats awesome is that suzanne collins society is a dystopia so I can write a paper on the book.yay!!!!
